Why Choose the Acer Palmatum Mon Zukushi?
Key Features:
• Eye catching spring detail, green leaves with red tipped new growth that gives colour contrast without being a full red maple.
• Strong mid season garden performance, holding a clean vibrant green canopy through spring and summer that works with any landscape palette.
• Summer flush can add an extra layer of interest, often showing a soft peach tone before settling back to green.
• Reliable autumn display, shifting into bright orange and red tones for a vivid seasonal finish.
• Develops into a nicely shaped feature tree with sturdy branching, making it an easy choice for courtyards and garden beds where structure matters.
• An old Japanese cultivar, recorded in Japan as early as 1704, valued for its colour changes and classic maple form.
