About the Acer Palmatum 'Peaches And Cream':
Variety: Acer Palmatum 'Peaches And Cream', Peaches And Cream Japanese Maple
Full Size: Typically grows around 3 to 4 metres high and 2 to 3 metres wide over time, forming a compact, rounded small tree, with mature specimens capable of reaching about 4 metres in ideal conditions.
Foliage: Deciduous. Spring foliage emerges creamy white with strong green veining, often flushed peach to pink on the tips and margins. The pink tones soften as the season progresses, then autumn colour finishes yellow to yellow orange.
Why Choose the Acer Palmatum Peaches And Cream?
Key Features:
• A premium reticulated Japanese Maple, with a painted look of cream foliage and crisp green veins that stands out even from a distance.
• Spring colour is the hero, peach to rose tones wash over the creamy base, creating a softer pastel display compared to red or purple varieties.
• Colour changes through the season, with the pink blush easing back to leave a clean cream and green pattern that still looks bright in summer.
• Compact, rounded habit makes it ideal for courtyards, feature beds, and high end pots where you want something special without a huge canopy.
• Best in morning sun or filtered light with shelter from hot afternoon sun and drying winds, especially in warmer Australian positions, to keep the variegation crisp and reduce scorch risk.
• An Australian origin cultivar, discovered as a seedling and valued for its unique soft colour palette and garden worthy performance.
