About the Acer Palmatum 'Sagara Nishiki':
Variety: Acer Palmatum 'Sagara Nishiki', Sagara Nishiki Maple
Full Size: A compact, upright Japanese Maple that grows steadily, reaching roughly 2.1 to 2.4 metres tall in 10 years, then continuing to mature with age. Width is commonly similar, around 1.5 to 2.4 metres depending on conditions and pruning.
Foliage: Deciduous. Large chartreuse to rich green leaves with a distinctive golden dusting and speckled variegation. Autumn colour shifts to golden yellow and orange for a bright seasonal finish.

Why Choose the Sagara Nishiki Maple?

Key Features:

• Exceptional golden dusting variegation that can be so heavy it appears yellow from a distance, making it a true collector feature tree.
• Strong spring and summer appeal, with fresh chartreuse new growth that deepens to greener tones while keeping its golden speckling through the canopy.
• A reliable small feature Maple that adds colour and light without taking over the garden, ideal for courtyards, feature beds, and premium pot planting.
• Best colour and cleanest foliage come from morning sun or filtered light, with protection from hot afternoon sun to help prevent scorch and keep variegation crisp.
• Autumn display provides a glowing finish, typically golden yellow to orange, giving warm contrast against evergreens and darker foliage plants.
