About the Acer Palmatum 'Sharp's Pygmy':
Variety: Acer Palmatum 'Sharp's Pygmy', Sharps Pygmy Maple
Full Size: A true dwarf Japanese Maple that typically reaches about 1.5 to 1.8 metres tall and wide over roughly 15 years, forming a compact, rounded canopy.
Foliage: Deciduous. Leaves emerge rich green with a deeply divided, heavily ridged leaf shape and sharp pointed lobes, then finish with bright oranges through to reds in autumn.
Why Choose the Sharps Pygmy Maple?
Key Features:
• A standout dwarf selection, ideal for containers, small gardens, bonsai, rock gardens, and conifer beds where space is limited.
• Dense branching and a naturally sturdy look, with thicker trunk development for its size and excellent winter structure once leafless.
• Reliable autumn colour, delivering a vivid orange to red display that punches well above its compact size.
• A naturally neat, rounded habit that stays tidy with minimal pruning, making it an easy feature tree for courtyards and small landscapes.
