About the Carpinus Betulus 'Fastigiata':
Variety: Carpinus Betulus 'Fastigiata' – Fastigiate Hornbeam (also known as Upright European Hornbeam)
Full Size: Typically reaches 8 metres tall and 3 metres wide, forming a narrow, columnar shape in youth that broadens slightly with age.
Foliage: Deciduous. Deep green serrated leaves turn bright yellow in autumn. Foliage clings well into winter, especially on young trees, offering screening even in dormancy.
